Another year coming to an end. The yearly sloughing off the coloful leaves. Another struggle with frigid temperatures and bills that won't stop. Even less money coming in than usual. The kids are understanding, maybe make pretty IOU's for under the tree. I'm thinking about building the tree out of things around here. Fingers crossed the electric company and my lanlord may have some holiday spirit.
This is my way to talk about whatever strikes my fancy. From writing to travel to hot guys. Feel free to suggest topics you would like to discuss as well.
Join me in the coming year!
Join me every other Sunday as I pick up hunks and share information on a large variety of topics. While everybody 'comes and comes again' we'll be starting and finishing together.

Ecstasy
Eyes meet,
Light and dark,
Stomach flutters,
Instant smile,
Dimples,
Can’t look away.
Lips meet,
Heart pounds,
Teeth bump,
Tongues,
Moist and fast,
Can’t breathe.
Souls meet,
Body cries,
Flesh collides,
Skin,
Hard and soft,
Brain disconnects.

Back in the Saddle Again pt 2
.
Check out part One if you missed it the first time.
'I am in charge' I thought. With his arms bound, there wasn't much he could do. I slowly rolled onto my back and pushed myself between his thighs until I was just past his thick cock. From underneath his bobbing member was even more impressive.
Gulping I tore my gaze from the intimidating rod, following the trail of dark hair to his firm stomach and continuing to his pecs lightly specled with more hair. I finally reached his stubbled jaw and saw his full lips turned into a smirk.
"Changing the game a bit, mistress?" His blue eyes sparkled with mischief and something else.
My mouth suddenly felt dry and my womb clenched in anticipation. There was something in Pauls gaze that made my insides turn to mush. I couldn't start making this into more than it was. No matter how my heart stuttered. Something more was happening. Something I didn't understand. Blinking, I ignored that train of thought and wrapped my lips around his thick, salty goodness. Paul moaned as I slid his cock down my throat. The contrast of silk and steel rubbing the top and sides of my mouth. Sweet and salty flavor leaked onto my tongue. Closing my eyes I lifted my head to take him more fully into my mouth. "My...my..l.." Paul groaned. His hips moving of their own accord. His passion would be his undoing. As always

Back in the Saddle Again
Hello, all! Sorry about the long sabbatical. But I have plenty of stories to heat your blood and comfort you on these long lonely nights. Of course, I had to sample them for...accuracy...yea that's it. ;)
Paul knew exactly how I liked to play. As the song goes "Save a horse, ride a cowboy". Well giddy up, partner. Paul and I have played these games before and he was ready for me just like always. You would never know from looking at him that he loved to be dominated, especially by a petite woman with a mean-streak.
I ran my hands over the smooth, tight globes of his ass. The muscles flexing under my palm, I pulled back my hand giving the bare skin a stinging slap. His body bucked before me and a well- formed pink hand print began to form on his perfect skin. It was impossible to restrain a smile.
"What do you say, my stallion?" I asked. I knew what he wanted but he had to beg for it. Just thinking about what I was doing turned me on. This strong, gorgeous man at my mercy. Logically I knew he could overpower me at any time, even with his hands bound above his head, his back arched with his ass in the air. He still held all the power. I leaned forward laying a gentle kiss on the raised welt.
"Again, mistress." He growled. I reached around his body to his full erection and he moaned. He was all ready hard. I lightly ran my hand over the silky hardness to the smooth tip, leaking with pre-come. I gave him a firm squeeze, and he groaned. Leaning back I reached for the leather strap lying next to me.
Running my hand over the firm muscles of his thighs, feeling the curly hairs beneath. Moisture dripped down the inside of my thigh. Pulling back I stroked the soft strip across his bare ass. Just enough to let him know I had not forgotten him. Quickly I pulled my arm back, swinging the strap. The snap made me jump and Paul cursed in pleasure.
I ran one hand along the inside of his leg, while my other stroked the newest welt. I cupped the heavy sacs, relishing the feel of them, rolling them in my palm.
What if I changed the rules a bit? Maybe slide onto my back, scootch myself between his legs and take that long, thick rod between my lips? What would he do? We haven't ventured into that level of intimacy yet.

Happy New Year!!!
Welcome to the year 2011. I hope you accomplished all you had hoped to last year. If not, it's a new year so we can all wipe the slate clean and start fresh.
First thing I want to start with is an interview with a wonderful author, Eliza March. Her erotic romances are provocative and funny, with HOT heroes and strong heroines.
Her newest release by Siren Publishing is called The Moon, The Madness and The Magic.

Why did you become a writer?
Eliza March- It became a compulsion.
Was it a dream of yours since you were younger or did the desire to write happen later in your life?
E.M.- No, it wasn't a dream. I was an avid reader, then one day I started imagining my own stories.
What do you love about being an author?
E.M.- The control over the story.
Is there anything you dislike?
E.M.- The business of writing.
How do you balance your personal and writing time?
E.M.- What personal time. Writing is personal. LOL
How do you write? Do your characters come to you first or the plot or the world of the story?
E.M.- The concept comes first, but I allow my characters to develop before I write the story. That way I don know what going to happen.
What genre(s) do you write?
E.M.- I am published in erotica, paranormal, fantasy and contemporary. I also write romantic suspense.
Why do you write the stories that you write?
E.M.- Sometimes they are an exercise, practice, a way of experimenting with words, ideas, and concepts. Mostly, I write for my own enjoyment.
Do you tend to base your characters on real people or are they totally from your imagination?
E.M.- I take traits from people I have read about, as well as people I've encountered, I guess. My characters aren't based on any particular people or characters I know, but a compilation of many.
Out of all the characters that you've written, who is your favorite and why?
E.M.- Ramon Delavega. I like his sexy, sense of humor, and I only just developing him, so I have all that new interest in him. He hot and teasing, seductive and mysterious. He going to have his own book as soon as I can bare to share.
What would you want readers to take away from your books?
E.M.- Escape and enjoy.
Do you have any advice for beginning writers in regards to writing a book?
E.M.- Join a writers group. Read and practice the craft.
If you could be anyone or anything that you wanted, who or what would you be?
Quentin Tarantino. I want to break all the rules.
Tell us about the latest release. Is it part of a series? Does it stand alone? What inspired you to write it?
E.M.- The Moon, The Madness, and The Magic is coming out this week. It was inspired as the second book in the Enchanted Mountain series by the location. I was in a strange mood when I started writing this book. I wanted to write in my characters voices and immerse the reader in the emotions of each. I hope I accomplished my goal. I e been working hard at improving each book as I go and happened to read he Fire In Fiction by Donald Maass as I edited and refined this story. I happy with the outcome.
What do you love about writing?
E.M.- I have a God complex.
Hate about it?
E.M.- Painting myself into a corner.
Do you have a guilty indulgence?
E.M.- Reading is my indulgence, but I pass it off as work research.
Something you do just for you.
E.M.- Sleep.
If you could spend a secluded weekend somewhere, where would you go and why?
E.M.- To St John Island, NS and stay on the beach. I've never been there.
Is there any character from one of your books who you would change places with?
E.M.- In my most recent book, The Moon, The Madness and The Magic, the heroine, Celeste is a shape-shifter, a fae succubus, and when she binds with her life mates (that would be two fantastic guys), she also acquires the ability to shift into a flying dragon and a Were wolf. I want to be her.
What authors do you enjoy reading? Who is on your bookcase/e-reader?
E.M.- Karen Marie Moning, JR Ward, Laurel K Hamilton, CL Wilson, Clive Cussler
Do you ever get up at 3 am just to write?
E.M.- Usually
Where can readers go on the net to find more on your books and anything else?
E.M.- http://elizamarch.blogspot.com they can read exceprts and finds to all my books.
Thank you, Eliza, so much for answering my questions.
There will be more from Eliza March's interview coming up as well as my review of her new release.

New Author Spotlight
Hello again, my friends.
Today I am introducing a new author, Kathy Lane, whose book Blood Sworn:Bound By Magic is being released by Wild Rose Press in September.

-Pixie- Why did you become a writer? Was it a dream of yours since you were younger or did the desire to write happen later in your life?
-Kathy Lane- I think I started out writing as a child because I wanted to remember my dreams. I used to have the most vivid, action-packed adventures when I slept. I didn’t want to forget them. My love of writing probably also extended from my love of reading. I read everything I could get my hands on as a child. I once got an award in Middle School for reading the most books in a year. I wrote a lot of poetry in High School. Even had some of it published in the yearbook my senior year. Still, writing was more or less a hobby until early 2006. That’s when I had the first chapter of a story critiqued by a published author at a conference and she actually pulled me out of the breakfast buffet line the next morning and begged for more. I thought, huh, maybe I can do this. Maybe I can really write a book somebody besides myself would want to read. Writing that book became my focus and well, three manuscripts later, here I am. My dream is coming true.
-Pixie- What do you love about being an author? Is there anything you dislike?
-K.L.- I like the idea of creating a world other people can slip into for a time. I’ve read books where I’ve thought, “Oh, wow, this author really put a lot of thought into creating this world. I want more, I want to know what happens to this character over here next.” I would love to get that kind of a response from a reader. I also enjoy having control of the story, being able to decide what comes next. What I don’t like is ‘writer’s block’. Yuck! I absolutely hate having to slog through a difficult part of the story. Luckily, there’s usually a really great scene on the other side to keep me going.
-Pixie- How do you balance your personal and writing time?
-K.L.- I’m single, dating sporadically, and my grown sons are out on their own. When I come home from work, my time is (very unequally) divided between housework, reading, and writing. When I started my first book back in 2006, I would find myself writing until 2 or 3am. Not so much anymore. I try to devote at least four hours a day to writing, but it doesn’t always happen. I try not to stress over it unless I’m on a deadline, like now. My editor is breathing down my neck for book two in the Bloodsworn series, so I’m working like a mad woman. My cat is thinking about going on strike because I don’t pay enough attention to him.
-Pixie- How do you write? Do your characters come to you first or the plot or the world of the story?
-K.L.- Hummm, characters and world, I think. In my first two books (which are un-published) the plot definitely came later. I didn’t even have an outline, much less a synopsis. Yes, I’m a pantser—someone who writes by the seat of her pants. Even Bloodsworn started out with a ‘what if’ and not a full plot. I’ve since learned the value of a good synopsis. It certainly helps when you’re trying to meet a deadline. You have to be flexible, though, and listen to your characters.

Interviewing Virginia Henley (pt 1)
Hello to all my cyber friends out there.
Sorry, I have been absent so long but I have been gathering my resources to bring you amazing interviews from some of todays hottest writers!
We also have a contest for a free book Virginia Henley's current release Lord's Of Desire. All you have to do to be entered into the drawing is follow all three parts of my interview with Virginia and comment on each site that the parts appear on. Almost like a Scavenger Hunt! Obviously, part 1 is here, at the end of this segment the next site will be listed.
Today we are starting with the timeless Virginia Henley! For those of you not familiar with Virginia here is a short bio to introduce her to you.
Virginia is a USA Today and New York Times bestselling author. Her work has been translated into fourteen languages. She is the recipient of more than a dozen writing awards, including the Romantic Times Lifetime Achievement Award, a Waldenbooks Bestselling Award, and a Maggie Award of Excellence from the Georgia Romance Writers.

Pixie- Virginia, I'm thrilled to have you with us today. Why did you become a writer? Was it a dream of yours since you were younger or did the desire to write happen later in life?
Virginia- It was just a daydream until I was 40. When my mother died, my father came to live with my husband and I and our two sons. The TV was always tuned to men's programs and I tuned them out and read to save my sanity. I read THE WOLF AND THE DOVE by: Kathleen E. Woodiwiss and immediately knew I could write historical romance books.
Pixie- What do you love about being an author? Is there anything you dislike?
V.H.- I love doing the research. History is my passion. I also enjoy working from my home and cherish the friends I have made in publishing.
The thing I dislike is the time it robs from my family.
Pixie- How do you balance your personal and writing time?
V.H. - It's not a true balance. Writing and the business end of things drastically cut into personal time. Being an author is really a life-style, not just a job. But each week I try to cram in time for shopping and when weather permits I walk on the beach. Instant messaging allows me to "talk" to my sons in Canada every night.
Pixie- How do you write? Do your characters come to you first or the plot or the world of the story?
V.H. - My stories are character driven, so they come first. For a plot, I read history until I dcome across a period that fascinates me. I never plot out the story ahead of time--I just sit down and write. I seem to become all my characters and they react how I would react, however I would react, and say whatever I would say, curse words and all.
Pixie- What genre do you write? Why do you write the stories that you write?
V.H. - I write historical romance, or historical fiction. Quite often, I write about real historical people. Soemtimes even my heroes and heroines are real people from history; sometimes only the minor characters are real people from history, such as kings and queens, their nobles. I only write stories set in England, Ireland, or Scotland, because I enjoy doing the research, and because this seems to be what my readers want.

Whatever happened to...
So whatever happened to men paying undivided attention to you? You know the one. The guy that carried your books in school, or offered to drive you home even though he lived in the opposite direction? Were they the one's you thought were too nice? Just friends?

What about now? Now that you have gone through all the 'bad' boys and found yourself still alone and unsatisfied? What happens when the one you thought was just as friend, your best friend in the whole world, finally confesses he has loved you forever and wants to whisk you away for an eternity?
Maybe that 'too nice' guy is really a bad boy between the sheets but your knight in shining armor the rest of the time. When all other men have let you down there he is waiting patiently after drying all your tears and helping you pick out your clothes for the never ending first date fiasco's. He is the one who knows how awful you look after crying with your bloodshot eyes and red, runny nose. Or how bitchy you are during PMS. And he still loves you and always thinks you're beautiful. Even after you've lost your twenty-something body and have four children running you ragged.
]
So why don't you go for it and say yes to forever with someone who really knows the worst about you and still loves and wants you?
You tell me?
Pixie

]

So why don't you go for it and say yes to forever with someone who really knows the worst about you and still loves and wants you?
You tell me?

My Book Boyfriend
Welcome to March! First, let me extend my apologies for being the absentee blogger. Bad, Bad, Pixie! :( I should be punished. ;) So here is my retribution.
Next, I want to thank my good friend, Miranda at SweetVernalZephyr.blogspot.com for tagging me in the Favorite Book Boyfriend 'exercise' ;).

We all have our favourite book boyfriends and now you have the chance to create one just for yourself and your fantasies! How do you play? Fill out the quiz bellow, post a picture of sexy man and tag five (5) other book addicts to do the same. Don't forget to pop to their blogs as let them know they have been tagged! Once tagged... you have to do the same, grab the button, answer the questions, and keep it rolling! But don't forget the picture of the sexy man! It doesn't have to match your fantasy man, just a little eye candy for the rest of us... heheheee!
1- Hair colour and style
I will say this was very difficult for me because I have an appreciation for male beauty in all its forms. * Does that make me an even bigger hussy? lol* But as I contemplated me favorite features I keep coming back to dark blonde hair, kinda short in the back but long enough on top that I can still leasurely run my fingers through the soft strands.

2- Eye colour and facial features
Defintely deep blue eyes, the kinds that can see right through you. Of course facial stubble is a must. Just thinking about the gentle rasp against my neck as he kisses his way down the side gives me chills. Of course, soft full lips for hours of kissing.

3- Height and body type
I may be a short 5'2 but this is such a no brainer. Minimum of 6' but prefer around 6'2. *I don't know if it all stemmed from my first 2 boyfriends when I was 13 or what but the first was 6' and the second was 6'2, so I guess it doesn't take a rocket scientist. lol.* And I LOVE broad shoulders. So definitely that athletic look. *There is just something so safe and comforting- and not to mention HOT about those shoulders.*
4- Visible age
35-40
Well, I know alot of women are drooling over those young twenty-something guys but I think for the most part I am beyond that. I think mid to late thirties does it for me. If you think about it, those twenty-somethings have ZERO real life experience 'under the belt' and aren't mature enough to see about someone elses needs. Now once a man gets into his thirties he tends to have learned that his enjoyment is linked to someone elses and if he concentrates on that he'll win as well.
5- Bangability ie: kinky/bi/size
Now I of course will concur with everyone else that there is alot to be said for size- no matter what we have said in the past to previous lovers- However, those comments are only required when they don't know how to use the gifts they were given. As I have mentioned before I am an admirer of male beauty and appreciate the many things they are capable of. I will say, as a preference, if I have to choose between width and length I will choose width everytime. If I could have both I am even happier ;) But we can't have everything now can we? But as I said he has to know how to use it.
Kinky? Well...I guess it depends on what you consider kinky doesn't it? ;)
6- Human or other
I am flexible on this point. As long as he adores me and can't live without me. I don't expect much. :)
7- Paranormal skills
Definitley needs to be able to read emotions, especially mine. Super strength would be a bonus. *I mean, who else is going to move the couch when you vacuum without whining about his back?* Also an ability to sense danger. * Do you realize the kind of stuff kids can get into?*
8- Interests
Well, duh, ME of course. lol.
9- Habitat
Lets see, I will definitley say that with his build he would make any size room feel cozy. Defintley need a supersized shower and tub for those tandem sessions. ;) King size bed to reduce the opportunity for ending up on the floor when you aren't expecting it. Fireplace for those relaxing nights after the kids are tucked away for the night.
10- Special skills
The uncanny ability to know when I want slow and steady or hard and fast. And the wisdom to know to surprise me as well.
Now the instructions say to tag five other addicts. So let's see who I can come up with who wouldn't mind diving in.
Eliza @ Elzamarch.blogspot.com
Hawk @ Houstonawknight.blogspot.com
Kathy @ kyrlane.blogspot.com
Julianne @ churchofthedamned.blogspot.com
Lorelei @ loreleiconfer.blogspot.com
Now, ladies- go forth and conquer. ;) And yes I added extra eye candy. I know I owe you big time. Love ya!

Valentine's Day
Ahh, Valentine's Day. Day for lovers and... another commercial attempt to stimulate the economy. I know, I know, don't be such a downer. So here is some fun little info for you to get yourself ready for heart day.
First, a little Disney couples quiz to get you motivated (Don't worry I'll provide the answers at the end--but no peeking!)
1. She loves books but kissing her true love broke the spell.
2. This couple should have worn bibs for their puppy-love kiss.
3. He thought kissing would be niiice, but the idea turned her green.
4. He didn't kiss the girl at first, but made a big splash in the end.
5. Her beau knows not to ruffle her feathers, especially since they have been dating since 1937.
Next, a little history lesson. Valentine's Day is celebrated by the giving of cards, flowers and/or confections to ones lovers *hence the commercialism aspect--sorry I'll be good*. Of course, the sending of cards has been big since the nineteenth century in Great Britain.
It is named after 2 early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The funny thing is there is very little known about these saints besides their names even though they have been associated with the holiday for centuries.
The day became associated with love in the high middle ages during Chaucer's time when courtly love was becoming fashionable. Although, the poem Chaucer penned, to celebrate the engagement of King Richard II of England and Anne of Bohemia, referred to love birds mating on Valentine's birthday. However, it was unlikely he was referring to mid-February in England. More likely he was referring to early May when saints day for Valentine of Genoa was celebrated.
Now the answers to my little quiz--did you get them right?
1. Belle and the Beast
2. Lady and the Tramp
3. Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen
4. Princess Ariel and Prince Eric
5. Donald Duck and Daisy Duck
Happy Valentine's Day, friends!

February- courtly love

Courtly Love was practised during the middle ages and combined with the Code of Chivalry. There were strict rules governing the practise and members of the courts across Europe participated. Basically, it allowed knights and ladies to show their admiration regardless of marital status. During the middle ages, roughly the 1300's- 1500's, marriages were arranged and had little to do with love. A successful marriage was one that achieved material advantages to the participants and their families.
As I mentioned there were strict rules governing courtly love. However, there were occasions where the parties involved went beyond the boundaries to a deeper a relationship. The most famous example of this would be the tale of Guinevere and Lancelot. Many illicit court romances were fueled by courtly love.
The rules of courtly love were written by the 12th century Frenchman Andreas Capellanus. I have included them below.
Marriage is no real excuse for not loving
He who is not jealous, cannot love
No one can be bound by a double love
It is well known that love is always increasing or decreasing
That which a lover takes against the will of his beloved has no relish
Boys do not love until they arrive at the age of maturity
When one lover dies, a widowhood of two years is required of the survivor
No one should be deprived of love without the very best of reasons
No one can love unless he is impelled by the persuasion of love
Love is always a stranger in the home of avarice

It is not proper to love any woman whom one would be ashamed to seek to marry
A true lover does not desire to embrace in love anyone except his beloved
When made public love rarely endures
The easy attainment of love makes it of little value; difficulty of attainment makes it prized
Every lover regularly turns pale in the presence of his beloved
When a lover suddenly catches sight of his beloved, his heart palpitates
A new love puts to flight an old one
Good character alone makes any man worthy of love
If love diminishes, it quickly fails and rarely revives
A man in love is always apprehensive
Real jealousy always increases the feeling of love
Jealousy, and therefore love, are increased when one suspects his beloved
He whom the thought of love vexes eats and sleeps very little
Every act of a lover ends in the thought of his beloved
A true lover considers nothing good except what he thinks will please his beloved
Love can deny nothing to love
A lover can never have enough of the solaces of his beloved
A slight presumption causes a lover to suspect his beloved
A man who is vexed by too much passion usually does not love
A true lover is constantly and without intermission possessed by the thought of his beloved
Nothing forbids one woman being loved by two men or one man by two women
As you can see there are many ways the game could cause trouble.
Your thoughts?

February

Welcome to the month of Romance. With Valentine's Day coming up I thought I would share a month of secret rendezvous and excitement to wet your pallet. I decided Zorro here would be a great start. Doesn't he remind you of hot Latin nights? The sultry sound of a guitar playing across the quiet evening beaches. And to top it all off...check out that sword. ;)
Have a Hot night!

January 13
Bet you didn't know:
Today is Saint Silvester's Day. Evil spirits are traditionally driven away with clanging bells on this night by villagers in Urnasch, Switzerland, where the pre-Julian New Year's Eve continues to be celebrated on this date.
In pre-Christian Ireland, the thirteenth day of January was celebrated each year as the Feast of Brewing by the ancient and mysterious priests known as the Druids.
Did you know there are only 352 days left till 2011? *lol. Thought I'd put it in perspective for everyone. Think I might be a glass half full or half empty kind of person? Depends on how your year is going so far I guess.;)*
Also, It's the date regulators in the U.S. and Europe prepare the largest global financial overhaul since The Great Depression. *It's about time don't you think*

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Let me say it is off to a smashing start. And no I am not referring to the car accident that decimated my darling vehicle. No, I am referring to the awesome year we have to look forward to. A year full of new friends and getting reacquainted with old ones. To new beginnings and all the endless possibilities for improvement in every area of our lives.
I'm not a big holiday person, but I always look forward to January. Mostly becausze it means taxes refunds are right around the corner. lol. But also because I can plan what i want to accomplish during the year and set a realistic start date for whatever they may be. Of course, like a lot of people I only seem to sprint and fizzle out by February. But I have high hopes that this year will be different.
This year I will finish at least 2 of my full length works in progress, submit the one that is finished and get "the call". Okay that last one is left to the powers that be but a girl has to have a positive attitude, right?
So what are your plans for the new year? Get a new job? Find that old flame? Please comment. Let me know. I would love to know I'm not the only one shooting for those stars.
