Happy New Year! Let me say it is off to a smashing start. And no I am not referring to the car accident that decimated my darling vehicle. No, I am referring to the awesome year we have to look forward to. A year full of new friends and getting reacquainted with old ones. To new beginnings and all the endless possibilities for improvement in every area of our lives.
I'm not a big holiday person, but I always look forward to January. Mostly becausze it means taxes refunds are right around the corner. lol. But also because I can plan what i want to accomplish during the year and set a realistic start date for whatever they may be. Of course, like a lot of people I only seem to sprint and fizzle out by February. But I have high hopes that this year will be different.
This year I will finish at least 2 of my full length works in progress, submit the one that is finished and get "the call". Okay that last one is left to the powers that be but a girl has to have a positive attitude, right?
So what are your plans for the new year? Get a new job? Find that old flame? Please comment. Let me know. I would love to know I'm not the only one shooting for those stars.

Hey Pixie! Happy New Year to you!!! You are right... it is great to at least start a new year out with a bang... it is okay if we fizzle, just means that we need to surround ourselves with more people who put the bang back in our lives, lol!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are not the only one who is shooting for the stars! I am not sure what I am shooting for... but I know that I am sending daughter to France this year for a school trip! But as far as myself... I want to get more organized. Being on a big holiday like we just came off of is a huge derailer. Of course, I am with the normal ~ exercise, read more, write some... enjoy life's little treasures!
